Romancing the Man

This years Valentine's Day marks our first Valentine together.

And this year?

I plan on "Romancing the Man". Most gals think it should be the other way around, with tons of roses and candlelight and romantic slow dance music, etc. But honestly?? He does so much for me, provides, takes care of, and loves me so much that it's HIS turn to get a bouquet of Roses - so to speak.

We can't always afford much by way of dates, so we don't go on many - therefore, what better way to celebrate than with a camping night. (Read glamping in the dining room because it's effing cold outside!!!)

He is in for a night of action movies, pizza & beer, rose petals, heart doily garlands from our wedding, satin lingerie sets, tulle covered Christmas lights, mosquito netting, and candles on the floor.

What are your Valentine's Date plans for next Friday?!

The Little Prince

One month ago today, on July 22, 2013 at 4:24 pm, a Sweet, Adorable, Handsome little Blessing of a Prince was born to their Royal Highness's Prince William and Princess Katherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

He was lovingly dubbed, HRH, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge and welcomed into this world by Christ, his wonderful Parents, his dotting Grandmother - Her Majesty the Queen, Queen Elizabeth the Second, and by all here who adore their family. Including the silly American's, of which I am so very proud and blessed to be one.

I just want to say, as I said previously to his Beautiful Grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen..

Happy Birthday, Little Prince.

May God bless every step of your life, dear one.
And your Parents in theirs, as they love you and raise you, and reign.

15 days down...

15 more to go. Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!

Now to play "blog-post catch up"...

Challenge Day #11: August 13.  I missed a few days because I was sick...
and then, my husband got me back on my band wagon by helping me feel better with chocolate.

Have I mentioned yet, that I love that man?!?!?!?! <3 p="">

Challenge Day # 12...

My brother, Jesse, is really into the whole "scene" thing, and is trying to EASE my parents into letting him dress that way... it's not really going so well, since all black on their 16 year old son is not something THEY'RE into. BUT! In their defense, they did let him get gauges, and wear black. They are only veto'ing the eyeliner and black nails, really. Which, I kinda think is a reasonable middle ground. But, anyways... I digress... THE POINT WAS: since my youngest brother is really into "scene", I decided to take one of my challenge days and join the dark side.

What's it really gonna do?
Kill me for wearing MEGA black liner for a few hours?!?! lol.

Challenge Day # 13 was a day to go turn hippie/indie/boho chic into boho/rocker chic.

I did my eye's like this, but instead of the boho hair,
I did a rocker style faux-hawk with slicked back sides and a somewhat sloppy extra high-pony...

Instead of Johnny Cash... I wore AC/DC... but who's really gonna pick a fight over the classics?
I wish I had a vintage Johnny Cash tee!!!

And, last but not least... Challenge Day # 15:
We went out bowling and drank a little beer and rented a few movies!
My hubby even won me THREE toys from....

The CLAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Meet:
Garfield, Boo!, and Rosie....

For today.... It was ADELE eyeliner, a sweet pony, and even a super-chill vibe...

Meaning... a UFC vintage-style tee, cuffed jeans, a blazer, pearls, and sexy black pointy toe heels w/ a little bit of toe cleavage that would make Stacy London and Clinton Kelly proud!!

What do y'all think?

Day #5...

I know, I know... I skipped TWO whole days of posts for this challenge, but honestly, even though I did my make-up both days, I HATED every pic I tried taking yesterday. The weather was not a wonderful little helper either :/

But I did get a little bit of momentary sunshine today, and I did do everything I was supposed to. I took a break from cleaning and laundry to snap some shots with my phone as soon as the sun FINALLY decided to poke his happy little face out from behind my emo, sad, NC fall-is-right-around-the-frigging-corner rain clouds...

They aren't great, but they ARE there at least.

Just my doubled blue/black liner today, with a neutral - basic makeup face, and chap-stick lips.
Two braids and a side pony for my hair. Easy-peasy, but still adorable! And since I AM cleaning today, I just stuck with my classic, easy, comfortable, hubby's white tee and cuffed jeans.

This actually did pretty well, considering...
I didn't have any blue eye-liner, so I double up two different tones of my blue eye-shadow with my eyeliner/angle type brush and a little smudging. I didn't do a full rim on the black because I need to replace my black PENCIL liner. It irritates my eyes, and I think I may be allergic to something in it, but my liquid eyeliner did do quite the fantastic little job on the lower corners. Much better than I was expecting it to go, actually. lol.

Anyways... How are you doing in your personal challenges this week/month/year??

28, and counting...

I am currently waiting on my phone to charge so I can post the pics of my air and Make-up...

Tada!

But, today I did have some wonderful inspiration.

Unfortunately, my follow through needs some work.

Which comes only with practice...

I think I will be working on those intriguing eyeliner tricks a bit more.

One of my all time favorites... the Beautiful, Twiggy.

Sweet Blue Dreams...

Vintage Blue with Nude lips... Simple, yet so lovely.

My hair turned out pretty ok, actually.

I did a rolled over chignon/sideways French twist in the back instead of a bun...

I even did my nails!!!

What beauty tricks are you trying this season?

29 more days...

Day #2 of this 30-day hair & makeup challenge...

Today, since my name is Victoria, I decided to go with a Victoria's Secret look.

The humidity here today is KILLING my hair tho :( It made the gel/hairspray turn greasy instead of be normal and make my hair have beautiful curls. It makes me sad... but maybe tomorrow will be a better hair day. I'm just too lazy to go wash it again and try over... and lets be honest, I'd have to wash off all this make-up in the process and that would just take WAY too much time to redo. My husband already came upstairs while I was curling my hair and asked "Baby... Are you STILL doing your make-up??".

You have to figure you've taken a really long.... slow... country while, when your husband notices how long you've been gone, and takes time out from washing and detailing his car to come upstairs to ask if you're done yet. lol.

Anways... Keep posted for the rest of the challenge!

30 days hath... this Challenge

I have challenged myself to 30 Days of hair and make-up. That may not seem like a challenge to most girls/women, but to me it is. Mostly because, I rarely wear make-up on a daily basis.... in fact, I generally stay as far away from it as I can, with the exception of church and dates, or those occasional special evenings at home with my wonderful Husband, Tyler.

Yesterday was a 1/2 day since I came up with the idea somewhere in the early/late afternoon time frame. I don't know how often I will post progress pics on here, but I will try! After all, FB and Gmail both have auto-sign ons now, so I really have no excuses. I just have to type: breedlovers.blogspot.com into the address bar, and voila! Here I am... all signed in and ready to post.... gotta love our techno-lazy generation sometimes. Life's all "EASY" at the point and click of a button now... and in some cases, as easy as a tap to the screen. *sigh*

Well, here goes.... along with some serious "bleh"ness...

Wish me luck!

As always... in true fashion-ista style for me lately, PINTEREST to the Rescue for an outfit idea on my 1/2 day of a run by the bank for bill paying...

Today was the "official" first day... but I had to wait until I got home from Physical Therapy and has gotten un-stinky with a nice, hot, steamy..... SHOWER.

Admit it.... you thought I was gonna say something else...

Oh! And I will NEVER complain about having bangs again, even if I do try something "new" occasionally... they're kind of my signature thing, as you can tell by the color pics in the middle of the collage below.

This challenge has already gotten me to thinking that  maybe, just... maybe...
One day I can be a  model, like Jean Shrimpton was for VOGUE in the 1960's, and like I have always wanted to be. Well, maybe not for Vogue, no matter how much I adore them... but you get the idea.(The B&W is her, btw, and so is the next one. But at the same time, it's also so very "Me".)

But anyways... I digress... Hopefully I get through this challenge! Who knows, even though my photo's are mostly just phone pics, I may just pick up a few tricks along the way.
I can at least sort of "SMIZE" as my favorite host, Tyra Banks, likes to say on A.N.T.M.

Love always,
A Victorian Cowgirl

Ps - NEVER give up on your dreams... even if you sometimes doubt that they'll ever come true.
